Stephon Castle
Stephon Castle the 2025 ROTY who was the no.2 option for the Spurs during their playoff run and was averaging great numbers close to 17 PPG. Who was amazing all postseason and regular season and is clearly better than Fox. If he leave he will be the best player to build around and is the main guy at times besides having not much of a 3 point shot he can do everything else perfectly. Also there is speculation he grew 2 inches which means he is 6'8 which he can match up with other defensive wings better and postered IH who shouldn't have got a contract larger than Castles doubled btw. Which are reasons why he will be a star in the making soon for contenders.
Dylan Harper
Another great Spurs player, which is like James Harden on the Thunder which is why he is on the list and he is a young guard and was the best player keeping the Spurs alive in a game 5 stinker by Castle and Fox but it was because of lack of experience is only why there is no other reason after that. Which is why Harper will be a great guard going forward for contenders that can start or not which can go a long way for him to get large paydays from teams.
Keyonte George
After Keyonte Georges large leap in a Jazz tanking year averaging close to 24 PPG proves how well he can do which he was mostly the main guy since Lauri played less games. Which George has the skill and handles in a huge year that saved his career. Which these amazing stats in a 2023 redraft would most likely go 2nd overall behind Wemby with these stats if it kept going. Honestly time will tell if he keeps this going but it looks amazing on his career resume, which he will be a good edition on a contender and he is extension eligible this off-season and if he does go into free agency the Jazz will lose offense like how the Heat lost Norman Powell to the Bulls. Jazz can do it but due to two large contracts it is not looking bright for the Jazz keeping him.
Peyton Watson
After breaking out last season he can lead a franchise at least to something, he had a great season and would have been in the MIP conversations if he wasn't injured most of the season and was not available much in the 2026 playoffs. He has potential, the height and his outside shot needs some work but he won't be a bad player to build around a franchise nowadays.
Amen Thompson
Amen Thompson one of the best defensive wings, can have a large defensive impact and is a valuable asset who is extension eligible to and is one of the best defenders in this league. He can be that glue guy and also be a no.1 to create some offense for others since he averaged 5 assists a game which is great for an only defense no three point shot wing player like him. Which is how he can lead a team to something with the impact he has.
These are just five of these types of players there are many others.
