Houston Rockets - Amen Thompson, but not yet so Clint Capela.
He just got a huge payday of $208M across 5 years and that is pretty crazy 41M for a guy that does defense but nothing else. Not really that crazy, but the contract in my opinion is like overpaid since he doesn't have a 3 point shot yet, while past his prime Andre Drummond has a decent one that is way better than his. His individual play is completely fine though just the contract he was just given.
Clint Capela has regressed and isn't that good anymore so yeah the Rockets do not have much bad contracts besides Amen Thompsons future extension.
Memphis Grizzlies - Jerami Grant
No need to overthink this one since he has been declining since after leaving the Pistons and after a reduced role.
Portland Trailblazers - Ja Morant
Well about Ja's contract it depends on his performance which has been on the decline along with his athletic drive and health. As long as he stays healthy him having a bad contract changes.
Sacramento Kings - Zach Lavine
Obviously, don't overthink why his contract has been disturbing for a very long time.
Denver Nuggets - Christian Braun
One of the most pathetic contracts I have ever seen compared to De'Aaron Fox's contract right now. This one makes the most sense out of anyone on the team.
Los Angeles Clippers - Brandon Ingram
Well for a mid all star it is pretty normal but he cannot help a team reach real playoff contention at all whatsoever.
Utah Jazz - Jaren Jackson Jr.
Jaren's contract not great for a quite low 20 PPG scorer and he cannot rebound to save his life. He can defend and produce mostly fine but health truly makes him getting paid $50M+ after this upcoming NBA season could change the Jazz financially. Maybe this could lead to Keyonte George leaving but I would be surprised if that happened.
Oklahoma City Thunder - Chet Holmgren
This is not the case because of his choke job after Wemby tore his cheeks apart. Only, because he doesn't average superstar numbers at all. In my opinion he should be paid around $40M a year and that's all. How he plays is fine and he can be a star but not a top 20 player.
Golden State Warriors - Jimmy Butler
His contract is overpaid due to his current ACL injury and before that he still was great but not the electric Heat player he was and that's the only issue with this contract. Which is pretty reasonable.
New Orleans Pelicans - Dejounte Murray
He was supposed to be an amazing guard but he has basically gotten even worse since being traded for Dyson Daniels who may even have a higher chance to get into the hall of fame if he wins DPOYs if Wemby simply doesn't play 65 games. Well yeah you may be suprised it isn't Zion but in my opinion Zion is way better than him when available, which this can be the case for both players when they are available. At least, Zion can be all star caliber at times while Dejounte can't be that guy.
San Antonio Spurs - De'Aaron Fox
Well this is extremely easy to know and if it wasn't his bricks, they could've won the title easier than others would expect. Which yeah this is an easy decision.
Phoenix Suns - Jalen Green
His contract, not good but he can still sometimes live up to this contract, just can't stay healthy really at times. When he is, he can be a great athletic 17 or 19 PPG guard who can shoot sometimes.
Minnesota Timberwolves - Donte Divincenzo
T-Wolves do not have much bad contracts so yeah and he is coming off a Torn Achilles next season and we do not know if he will be the same guy so yeah.
Dallas Mavericks - Caleb Martin
A very disturbing contract like De'Aaron Fox's and there is obvious reasons to what I just said.
Los Angeles Lakers - Jarred Vanderbilt
To be honest this one is also a very obvious on why this contract is terrible because he averaged 4 PPG on a $12M deal and that is horrible when you just play defense and nothing else.
