A Fanspo Journey: The Evolution Of Bdawg

In honor of winning NBA Pick 'Em for the 2026 NBA Playoffs by a large margin, I asked Bdawg what he wanted in return of winning and I offered him a few options, he suggested a post would be fine and so I have spent the past few days collecting enough information for this post and try to get to know the Bdawg before the past seven months before his profile took off.

Let's look back around three years ago where a young kid bored went looking for a NFL trade machine and winding up on this site playing around with the trade machine. Eventually, he started to post his trades and then eventually someone saw it and he started to get more involved with the site and started to bond more with the community, though as a small creator basically making below average to average trades and getting alright attention with some picking up more steam than others. He tried making a mock with a few small (at that time) creators that didn't seem like to go anywhere based on the five to seven posts I have seen him begging for people to join, but it did appear he finished it. While he was there, there was an obvious sign of the NFL site declining with views and attention going down, but also for bigger creators on the site with a lot of them either leaving or focusing their time more in the NBA as Halloween 2023 was getting closer and that meant the NBA season has just begun. Bdawg thought it was best for him to dabble into the NBA world where he didn't know a lot in it. He did a few mocks here and there and then posted, what will become a staple of his eventually, a top 5 list which consists of his top five players and he had fricking Victor Wembanyama as his number five in 2023, the ball knowledge was obvious of a 15 year old girl who doesn't know anything other than what her dad or her secret boyfriend Steve who her parents don't like and that is why it is secret tells her about basketball. The knowledge eventually grew within time.

He continued to post at least once a day and kept on until it was obvious he was getting burnt out and super busy in life where he eventually took a break... Wait a minute, that only lasted a few days. Now we are back to daily posts and it appears he is picking up some steam but you also see some of his behavior and antics kick out, especially after the Steelers games. Once the season was over, he started focusing more on NBA content and trying out trades and furthering building his NBA knowledge during this time. And then, some really bad news occurred in the Winter of 2024, Bdawg made a post saying that once the app is made and is released that he will most likely not get the app and will likely leave as his phone can't download apps for some reason that appears to be parental, so farewell Bdawg! It seems like he has a few weeks left on this site since the app should be released sometime in the Spring of 2024... Nope, he's still here. And now, a few weeks have passed and Bdawg suddenly disappeared. He came back explaining that life is busy and then the next few weeks he starts to be in and out of the site and going through life difficulties while trying to keep up a good rapport on this site... And then he is gone. For Eight Months.

He came back in what seemed like him planning to explain his absence but instead talking about how bad his teams did that season. Like I explained earlier, it appears that his life was spiraling in the summer and that his hiatus was for him to take a break and try to regroup himself and find calm in this hectic world. And once he came back, it appears he is back to square one just like he is new to the site all over again. Most of his close friends on the site are either gone or heading towards the door, so he really did have to start fresh. As he is trying to find his footing on this site again, drama ensues and eventually a whole handful of users leave. While a good chunk of users leave, Bdawg quietly disappears in what was thought as an addition to the mass exodus, but delayed turned out to be more of a person having writers block and got burnt out too easily on the site after posting non stop for over a year too life throwing tons of bricks his way to trying to get back into a rhythm. It really didn't seem like he was going to be on the site much longer and he is just going to fade into the sunset eventually, one break and that one break becomes a retirement length.

As users basically anticipate it being his last stretch and start showing him love in his posts and building a lot of traction in his posts and more consistent traction as well (something his older posts lacked), he started feeling more comfortable and finding his footing on the site and sticking with what is working built him and his status larger and larger which got him to the top 50 in GM Score, and now he is at a spot that once he is said and done on this site that him being in the top 10 could quite be an option. Not just looking at the GM score and post tractions, but he has now became one of the more respectable users and more well known users on this site currently, and maybe ever. To think a small creator posting all day without having a consistent flow turned to be one of the more recognizable users on the site.

There is my post. Let me know what you think as I found this really difficult as I had no clue what direction I wanted to take it. I feel like I could have went more in depth, but I will see what y'all think.
