Ben Simmons has had a very strange basketball career.Everyone nowadays thinks that he’s one of the worst players to ever play the game.But,those little kids don’t know how good Ben Simmons was.Because of that,we are going to dive in to Ben SImmons’ career.

Ben Simmons was taken with the 1ST Pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.Yeah,he was in the same draft class as these 4 monsters(Jaylen Brown,Jamal Murray,Domantas Sabonis,Pascal Siakam).But,no one had a doubt in their mind that it would go wrong,because he was that good,even after he missed his rookie year with a right foot injury.In his true rookie year,he won Rookie Of The Year.Again,looking amazing.And he was also a 3-Time All-Star,All-NBA Third Team and Steals Leader.But,one night,everything changed…..

He posted up a Hawks player and had the wide open layup.And,everyone would have thought “He’s gonna take the layup.”But,no. He passed the ball to Danny Green and he got fouled.And,what made it so much worse?It was Game 7.And,he got a ton of criticism,so eventually he would request a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers.And the Nets came and they figured out a trade.The Nets got Ben Simmons,Seth Curry,Andre Drummond and 2 1ST’s for James Harden and Paul Millsap.Really,a horrible trade.

Ben Simmons did absolutely HORRID the 2022-23 season,although he got traded in 2021.Anyway,he averaged 7.4 PPG LESS in 12 less games.His main statline was 6.9-6.3-6.1.The next 2 years in Brooklyn were also horrible.In the middle of the 24-25 season,he agreed to a buy-out with the Nets and signed a 1-Year deal with the LA Clippers. He averaged just 2.9 PPG,and they didn't re-sign him.He is currently a free agent.

Ben is looking for a comeback in the NBA,but it's not looking likely.
