2023-2024 NBA Champion - Boston Celtics
FMVP - Jayson Tatum
I hate the Boston Celtics. However, let’s be honest here. Barring no major injuries, the Pacers don’t stand much of a threat to stop this elite Celtics team. Both teams in the West could beat the Celtics. But I think that this Boston team is simply just too talented to be stopped. They haven’t had Kristaps this whole playoffs! And yes, they’ve beaten a Heat team without Jimmy and a crippled Cavs team. But, it’s truly this team’s year to go the distance.
2024-2025 NBA Champion - Denver Nuggets
FMVP - Nikola Jokic
No team has ever come back down 20 in a game 7 in NBA history. 21 wins for teams up 20 at half. Undefeated record. That was until the Minnesota Timberwolves came and beat the Nuggets in Game 7. There was so much excitement around the Joker and Anthony Edwards. In the end however, it was the entire Minnesota squad that got it done last night.
2025-2026 NBA Champion - Dallas Mavericks
FMVP - Luka Doncic
After acquiring another star to pair with a Prime Luka, the Mavericks fight to their first finals since that surprising 2011 run. With this, they show the world that Luka is a surefire HOFer, and that they aren’t to be messed with. With young pieces around Doncic, a final star next to an aging Kyrie, and Luka hitting his prime, this team seems unstoppable.
2026-2027 NBA Champion - Orlando Magic
FMVP - Paolo Banchero
They SEEMED unstoppable. Until the Orlando Magic team evolved like crazy. Paolo stars in their surprising finals run, with Franz and other key pieces helping out. And, currently, in this year’s 2024 NBA season, the Magic were incredible for being so young. Paolo showed he’s a playoff star, and if they just add a scoring guard to the team, could be a forced to be reckoned with.
2027-2028 NBA Champion - Houston Rockets
FMVP - Jalen Green
Currently, the Houston Rockets have arguably the brightest future of any NBA team. Sure, there’s the Thunder, and the Magic, and the Spurs. But the Rockets have Jalen Green, who’s shown flashes of brilliance, Alperen Sengun, who’s steadily improving each season, Jabari Smith Jr, and veteran presences in Dillon Brooks and Fred VanVleet. They truly are a dangerous threat to win a ring.
