The travesty that has become the NBA Hall of Fame.

Now, a couple of days ago, I saw some very intriguing news. The NBA Hall of Fame inductees were announced. And normally, this would be a great time to celebrate all-time great players or humans who have had a massive impact on the game.

Instead... I see fucking Doc Rivers made the Hall of Fame.

Now, before I make my points, I want to make something clear. I don't blame the players or the coaches for this. I blame arguably the worst commissioner in sports, which is Adam Silver. With that being said, let's begin!!

1: The Basketball Hall of Fame has too many members: This one's pretty self-explanatory, but I'll explain. Hall of Famers are superstars who dominated the game for a period of time at the top of their position. For example, Tim Duncan's a CLEAR Hall of Famer. 1 MVP, 5 titles, from 2000-2013 was arguably a top 3-1 Power Forward every year. Tim Duncan is a generational Talent who was one of the most dominant players of his era. Now I will give you an example of who shouldn't be a Hall of Famer. Tony Parker. I got all of the love and respect for Tony. The Spurs are not winning most of their titles without him. But has Tony Parker ever had a stretch where he was the best or arguably the best at his position? NO.

2: Our Hall of Fame is actually the Hall of very good: Kind of deepening my point here, like I was with Tony Parker, we have too many great players in the Hall of Fame. A great example of this is Mitch Richmond. Mitch was a bucket getter for sure. Great player for the Warriors. But do you ever think of Mitch as a Hall of Famer? NO. He's not a scrub, not at all. But he's also not a superstar who was dominating his position year in and year out. Mitch is just one example of many "Hall of Famers" who really shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. Guys like Earl Monroe, Bill Walton, and Arvydas Sabonis are just a couple of really good players who were never dominant enough in their position to be Hall of Fame worthy.

3: Other sports are much harder to make the Hall of Fame: A great example of this is baseball. There are so SO SO many good players, even Hall of Fame worthy players who don't get in because Cooperstown understands, the Hall of Fame is an achievement only reserved for the greatest to ever play the game. And one thing I love about baseball, if they catch you using ANY PED'S, kiss your Hall of Fame dreams goodbye. Look at two of the greatest hitters to ever grace the planet Earth. Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez were both caught using PED'S back in the 2000's. Arguably number 1 and 2 of the best hitters to ever play, and they won't ever sniff the Hall of Fame. Why? Because the Baseball Hall of Fame has a legacy, a certain standard that isn't above anything. To further prove my point, Paul George was caught using PED'S a couple of months back. ONE OF THE BEST WING PLAYERS OF THIS MILLENNIUM, caught cheating. Now, you would think the NBA would take action (which they did), but it won't change George's legacy for the worse as it did for Bonds and Rodriguez.

Now you may be asking again, why? And the answer is very simple, and so is the solution.

Adam Silver. A commissioner who has lost public support every passing year in the NBA.

Like I said, the solution is very simple. Either Silver tightens up, or it's time for him to resign.

I know this is out of the ordinary for me to make long articles like these. Let me know what your thoughts are on these topics.

I'm tired. I'm going to bed.

Yours truly, jmg
