My top 5 second round picks in the 2024 NBA draft that I think will have a good career.

By good career I do not mean all-star or MVP. I will say for each player how I think they can help their current team and other teams. This list is in order of their draft pick

Honorable Mentions : Bobi Klintman, Tyler Kolek

Kyle Filipowski (32nd pick)- Filipowski had one of the most impressive collegiate seasons at Duke last year. Filipowski averaged 16.4 points and 8.3 rebounds. Also got 2.6 stocks a night. Filipowski showed no injury concern but what really got him from being a projected late lottery pick to falling into the 2nd round was his off the court issues. Filipowski has odd relationships with his family and had a very weird "girlfriend", who was previously his baby sitter. Filipowski also fell because of his "bad answers" in his interviews. He ended up going 32nd overall to the Utah Jazz. I project him to be a solid starter. I do not think he can become an All-Star especially with the young guys in the league currently but he will be a good piece to a contending team.

Ajay Mitchell (38th pick) - Originally from Belguim but spending 3 years at UC Santa Barbara Ajay Mitchell averaged 16 points over all of those seasons. Mitchell struggled from 3 in his first 2 years shooting 27% from 3 in his second season. However,in his Junior year he shot 39% from three. In 2023 Mitchell led UC Santa Barbara to March Madness with only 1 other notable player in Miles Norris of the G League. Mitchell has become a 3 time All Big West team. Mitchell was drafted by the Knicks but traded on draft night to the Thunder. Although he is behind gaurds like Caruso, Shai and Cason Wallace and even Nikola Topic when he gets healthy will be hard to get minutes but in the chances he gets he will show skill. He is NBA ready and should become a solid bench player in the future.

Enrique Freeman (50th pick) - Another man from Akron, this time the college. Freeman led the entire NCAA in rebound only being 6 foot 7. Edey was 7 inches taller and didnt get more somehow. Freeman showed some decent free throw shooting and the ability to hit threes on an average percentage. Freeman was 4 time MAC All-Defense and 3 time All-MAC. He was a MAC Player of the Year and the MAC DPOY. He led Akron to the March Madness as the 14 seed where they lost to Creighton in the first round. Freeman was drafted to Pacers and I think honestly has the potential to be a mini Dennis Rodman. He might not get the opportunities as Rodman but you never know since Dennis was a second round pick too.

Quinten Post (52nd pick)- Quinten Post who is from the Netherlands and played 2 years at Mississippi State and 3 years at Boston College got drafted to the Warriors. He is the definition of a Stretch 5, Shooting 43% from 3 in his senior year on 3 attempts per game as a 7 footer was incredible. It was not until his last 2 seasons when he got a chance though. Post was by far the best pick for the Warriors since that was the 1 thing they needed. Imagine Podz, TJD, Kuminga and Post. Might not be the best but would be super entertaining. Also Post got 1.7 blocks a night. Post can be a great piece and just looking at him reminds me of Brook Lopez.

Ariel Hukporti (58th picks) - Hukporti has the last pick in the draft, being a 7 foot German player who played 2 years in the NBL. His stats were not great but his per 36 were. 16.5 points and 13.8 rebounds is great for a per 36 statline. He is your typical big man, can not shoot threes or pass great but is a great defender and will be a great lob threat next to Jalen Brunson and Miles McBride. He can jump out of the roof and will be an entertaining player. I see him as a good role player
