One Hot Take For Every Western Conference NBA Team

Houston Rockets: Amen Thompson is the True Real Star not Alpren Sengun I said it now. Alpren Sengun isn’t a great player and Amen Thompson is truly miles better. He plays perimeter defence, crazy dunks and has a high basketball IQ. He’s not a 30-point per game person; he’s a playmaker and team contributor. Alpren Sengun is just a mid-point scorer who most people overhype. I think Alpren Sengun is absolutely terrible and the true star of the Rockets’ recent success is Amen Thompson and KD.

Dallas Mavericks: Drafting Cooper Flagg Was a Mistake Cooper Flagg is a great player but he shares the one-man mentality of Kylian Mbappe or Michael Porter Jr. He’s a single player not a team player. The football team Real Madrid is a perfect example of this mentality. It never works out. Imagine if they’d drafted Dylan Harper or VJ Edgecombe. They’d have an electrifying young franchise player. Instead, they have a cocky, still basically a kid, Overhyped player. Imagine VJ and Kyrie playing together. But I really think the real mistake wasn’t the Luka trade; it was the Cooper Flagg pick. I don’t think that was the right choice.

San Antonio Spurs: Castle & Wembenyama are the new showcase lakers Call me in five years, Victor Wembenyama will be a top five player of all time. He’s an Elite player. He’s tall, shoots three-pointers, has good defensive instincts and a high basketball IQ. He also has quite good pace for his height. I don’t think his true potential has fully developed yet but this is like the Showtime Lakers with Shaq and Kobe. Shaq dominates the point while Kobe drains shots effectively. Wemby does all of that and with Stephon Castle he’s one of the best duos currently in the NBA. They’re not in their prime years yet but if they keep up like this they’ll be the best duo ever in NBA History

Memphis Grizzlies: Ja Morant is the Biggest Wasted talent in history I believe Ja Morant was one of the brightest prospects of his draft class but squandered his potential. Had he focused solely on basketball he could have reached MVP level. Instead he’s plagued by injuries and suspensions, leaving the Grizzlies with Santi Aldama as their primary scorer – insufficient for an NBA team. Morant possesses immense talent and could easily become a top five player but his injury problems and involvement in controversies have hindered his career. I feel he’s wasted his talent and future. A solution might be to trade him for someone like Jaylen Brown Jalen Green or Devin Booker.

New Orleans Pelicans: They Should Waive Zion Williamson and Not Give him a penny Zion Williamson, despite his hefty contract, seems to have forgotten how to play basketball properly. Given the current struggles of the New Orleans Pelicans, I believe the best course of action is to waive him and not offer him any financial incentive. This would allow him to wake up and focus on his career. The team could then use the money to sign players like Scott Henderson and some veterans during free agency, ultimately securing a good draft pick. While the Pelicans have potential, Zion’s performance is holding them back.

Phoenix Suns: Devin Booker Needs to Be Traded I don’t think this take is particularly hot but I don’t think Jalen Green and Devin Booker are good enough to carry a pretty much hopeless and ageing Suns team. Furthermore, there aren’t many high draft picks coming up. I think they should trade Devin Booker for a Jaylen Brown-type player. This Way They Have Automatic Playmaking and Scoring

Los Angeles Lakers: The Luka Doncic Trade on Their Side Was a Mistake and They Will be Worse than The Dallas Mavericks in a Few Years Because Of It I think Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the league, but not good enough to carry a whole team when LeBron leaves. He doesn’t have a playmaker to feed him or a wingman since Austin Reaves is likely to leave in free agency. Meanwhile, the Mavericks will get Max Christie a young shooting guard who will improve their team. They’ll also have Cooper Flagg, that first-round pick in 2029 and Max Christie in the future. So, I think the Lakers actually made the wrong part of the trade, not the Dallas Mavericks. They Thought 1 Year Ahead instead of For the Future

Los Angeles Clippers: Darius Garland & Kawhi Leonard has Potential To be the best duo in the NBA I have been a personal glazer of Darius Garland for many years. I believe he has the potential to become a great playmaker and that the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard could be the ideal franchise to integrate him into a role that maximises his abilities. If this integration is successful, it could be a similar run to the 2019 Toronto Raptors team. If their combined creativity is realised, they could become the best duo in the NBA.

Sacramento Kings: They should trade Sabonis, lavine & derozan. And build a team around maxime raynaud I believe Maxime Raynaud was one of the NBA Draft’s most valuable picks and that the trading in of Demar DeRozan and Zach LaVine was a significant error. To return to winning ways and compete with stronger teams, the team should consider trading its star players and building a young, positive team. Players such as Jrue Holiday could also be a valuable acquisition for veteranship and lead them back to the playoffs.

Golden State Warriors: Their Golden Era is Over GUI Santos & Yaxel Landeborg are their new stars I think we can all agree Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are both well past their prime. Having a lottery pick this year will really benefit them in the future. They’ll have options like Yaxel Landenborg and Cam Carr to choose from in the draft. Gui Santos is also finally developing into a serious player and future all-star. Podzemski and Quentin Post could also improve the team’s depth. I think it’s back from square one after Steph Curry retires.

Oklahoma City Thunder: They Could Win Another Championship only if they trade away shai Gilgeous Alexander Shai Gilgeous-Alexander isn’t a good player; he’s a cheater and foul-baiter. I think Thunder sacrificed a few years to build this young championship team but to truly unlock their potential they need to get rid of Shai. Imagine a real basketball-playing Oklahoma team with Chet Holmgren, Cam Wallace, Jalen Williams, Jaylen Williams and Alex Caruso. Then they would also have a star player intergrayed into the star lineup as part of a shai trade

Minnesota Timberwolves: Julius Randle is one of the worst second options in the league I don’t originally think Julius Randle is bad but he’s not a viable option for a championship-winning team in my opinion. I believe he’s well past his prime and the Timberwolves should move on. His high salary cap means you could get a better deal for a better player and truly elevate Anthony Edwards.

Denver Nuggets: If It Wasn’t For Jamal Murray Nikola Jokic Wouldn’t Be A Star I don’t mean to detract from Nikola Jokic’s incredible talent and his status as arguably the greatest European player of all time but I think that his situation is similar to Michael Jordan; he wouldn’t be as successful without Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Jamal Murray is a fantastic shooter and passer and one of the league’s most underrated players. In my opinion, he’s Jokic’s primary playmaker and they really reason for his team success

Utah Jazz: Darren Peterson will be a Anthony Bennet Level Flop I believe he’s the most overhyped prospect I’ve seen in years. I think he has talent but he will waste it. He could have a breakout rookie year but then he might fall off like Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Ja Morant and Derrick Rose. He Will average lower points later in his career and become one of the worst second picks in NBA history.

Portland Trailblazers: They’re going to win a championship in the next five years. I think that they will trade for Kevin Durant and then get rid of Jermai Grant & maybe Jrue Holiday. I think they can build around the core of Lillard & Durant with their young stars like Demi Avdija, Scott Henderson, Toumani Camara & Donovan Clingan, and I think a starting 5 of Avdija, Henderson, Durant, Lillard & Clingan with Sharpe & Camara as 6th men is more than championship worthy.
