The Bubble Mock
What’s up, guys? Been a while since I’ve done one of these.
A new worldwide COVID has spread massively, and the NBA is the victim of such an epidemic. That means we’re going back to Disney World.
How is this different from a normal mock?
Guru will run the sim on BBGM, so go show him some love for helping me. To emulate the bubble season, the mock will include intangibles like players getting Covid, not wanting to go to the bubble, and playing better because of the bubble (TJ Warren syndrome). The Mock consists of two phases. The first phase runs like a regular mock, where there will be two stoppages on Christmas Day and at the deadline. Then it gets interesting. Like the 19-20 season, the mock will stop on March 11th in sim. Why this date? That’s the date the NBA got shut down in 2020. From there, the top 9 teams in each conference along with any teams within 5 games of those teams are given an extra 8 games (same as the bubble) before the playoffs, which play out like usual. Yes, I'll stop for the playoffs.
What’s a Lakeshowszn mock without intangibles?
There will be 2-3 players you need to trade before the deadline along with a set goal you need to reach. These will all be minor since the emphasis is on the bubble. Like I was saying, a certain role player on your team will be boosted 5 overalls to emulate players going off in the bubble. Additionally, one random player will choose not to go to the bubble.

Q: How do you get a league without certain teams
A: I’ll make a new league with the teams that make the bubble, sim 8 games, then do a playoff sim with the set standings
Q: What do eliminated teams do if they get eliminated?
A: Depending on how well this does, I'll do multiple seasons. If you get eliminated, kick back, and prepare for the draft and free agency. You can do waivers, trades, etc. even during the season IF you eliminated
Q: If I’m slow, what year is this based on?
A: 23-24 NBA Season (Starts form Preseason) Q: What is this mock simmed on?
A: This mock will be simmed on BBGM, and you’ll get all of the player ratings.
Mock Rules
Be respectful to your fellow GMs at all times. Any harassment of me, Guru, or anyone involved in the mock won’t be tolerated
Don’t cheat the system; don’t back out of trades after they’re already confirmed, don’t lie about picks, etc
Follow all procedures. Don’t change your rosters before a trade is confirmed, back out of trades after you agree, etc.
Be active. If someone is dying for a certain team and you haven’t been on, I reserve the right to let them take your place in the mock.
Continuing from rule 3, I’m not afraid to say no. If I don't want you in my mock, then you won’t be in it.

Users who have a history of using burners to cheat in mocks WILL NOT be allowed.

Point System
The winner of the mock will be the person with the most points. There are two ways to get points. Advancing in the playoffs, and completing your goals and tasks. Your points will eventually be tallied, and I’ll post a ranking. The top 3 get a prize. Goal completion will be determined on a scale of 0/3. 1 = didn’t bother, 2 = did it ok, 3 = fixed it perfectly
