The Bucks send Giannis to the Spurs in exchange for a 500-ish core to avoid tanking next season, while they figure out if they'll enter a full rebuild with the Spurs' picks and some attractive, tradeable contracts.
They also sign and trade Bobby Portis and send two seconds to get back one of the firsts that they sent to NOLA. The Bucks also acquire Kelly Olynyk in case Brook Lopez gets picked up by LA or a team looking for a stretch 5 as he will also be a free agent this off-season.
Spurs starting 5 would be Fox - Castle - Barnes - Giannis - Wemby This puts them into contention automatically and they use the MLE to go get another 3&D wing, while filling out the rest of the roster with role players.
NOLA adds Portis as the 6th man to their roster that needs some scoring and energy off the bench. They really could use his playoff/championship experience too. When fully healthy their starting 5 could be McCollum - Murray - Murphey III - Zion - Portis/a different C.
Just an idea of what a trade where Milwaukee gets their frp back could look like. Lmk what yall think or what you'd change.
