If each NBA team could change one moment in the last 10 years

Today, I'm bringing you an article-like format of how each team would want to change 1 moment from the last 10 years. Tell me what you think and hope you enjoy!

Atlanta: Luka and Trae swap

Despite Trae Young being one of the best young players in the league, Luka is the best. This would change a lot since Trae and KP would be in Dallas against Luka, Capela and Collins in ATL. I don't think their fit changes much but it's cool for them.

Boston: Trading IT, Crowder and 2018 FRP for Kyrie

This may be one of the worst moves in the past few years. Don't get me wrong, I like Kyrie, but they had something already with IT. IT4 was an MVP candidate the previous year, Crowder was a perfect 3-&-D fit, Zizic had some potential and that FRP was from Brooklyn and turned into Collin Sexton. They also signed Hayward and drafted Tatum, so Boston really messed this one up.

Brooklyn: KG and Pierce to Brooklyn for BKN's future

Even though this occured in 2013, it still has repercussions to this day. Boston got loads of picks for 2 expiring veterans in Pierce and KG. In Brooklyn, it didn't work out much and Boston gained Brown and Tatum, their 2 stars, plus expiring contracts which cleared up cap space for trades and free agency.

Charlotte: Any of their draft picks from Kemba to Bridges

Honestly for Charlotte, it's hard to pin down just 1 bad moment. So, here's a comprehensive list of Charlotte's bad selecting of the 2010s.

2012: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist over Beal and Dame

2013: Cody Zeller over CJ and other role players

2014: Noah Vonleh over Lavine and Warren

2015: Frank Kaminsky over picks from Boston, Myles Turner and D-Book

2016: Malachi Richardson over Pascal and Dejounte

2017: Malik Monk over Donovan Mitchell and John Collins

Chicago: Derrick Rose trade to NYK

I didn't really know what to put here so I'll throw the Rose trade in. Derrick had come off a year of 16 points and they traded him for near to nothing. They traded him and Justin Holiday to the Big Apple for Robin Lopez (a solid 3-4 year backup big men), Jerian Grant (brother of Jerami and was out of the league quickly) and Jose Calderon (traded immediately to LA).

Cleveland: The Decision

Now, I understand that with Cleveland being bad for a few years helped them gain 3 no. 1 overall picks which 2 helped get K-Love and Kyrie was their 2011 pick. But, imagine LBJ stays in Cleveland? Miami isn't as good and I think they'd try and surround him with talent to win a championship.

Dallas: The KP trade

I know, I know. They didn't give up much but Dallas hasn't made many bad moves. They traded DSJ, who was traded for D-Rose, DeAndre Jordan, who went to Brooklyn after half a year in NYC and 2 FRPs. One of them is Kai Jones who they traded for a FRP this year and one in 2023. They did also give up Trey Burke and THJ so it's definitely not their best move.

Denver: Trading Mitchell and Gobert

Back in the 2020 NBA playoffs, the Jazz almost upsetted Denver. They were led by 2 Denver draftees, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. In 2013, they traded Rudy as pick 27 to Utah for Erick Green and cash and in 2017, they traded pick 13 as Donovan Mitchell for Trey Lyles and pick 24 (Tyler Lydon). I know for a fact they would want them to have with Jokic and Murray.

Detroit: The 2011 NBA Draft

In the 2011 draft, Detroit had 3 picks (8, 33 and 52) and they messed up all 3. As they were starting a rebuild at 8, they took Brandon Knight one pick ahead of Kemba Walker, who they definitely would want. At 33, they took Kyle Singler over Chandler Parsons and Davis Bertans plus other role players. Finally at 52, they took Vernon Macklin over Isaiah Thomas and E'twaun Moore.

Golden State: The 2020 NBA Draft/Offseason

Honestly, the Dubs have really only taken dubs (no pun intended). But after a bad year in 2020, they got pick 2 and should've traded it. A package of pick 2, the Minny and their pick in 2021 plus Wiggins would've guaranteed another star in the Bay. Now, they didn't just mess up in not trading it, but selecting Wiseman over LaMelo, who ended up being ROTY, and will regret it for a while.
