Trade 1 BK & NOLA
Clax , Clowney + #33, #36 & NYK unprotected 2027 for Zion, Missi
Nice and simple. NOLA needs to save money and create space for Queen at PF as well as find a center, they also want to get back into the 2026 draft. This accomplishes all of those goals as well as gives them an extra FRP in 2027.
Trade 2 BK & LAC
Brooklyn does the LAC a favor and brings BROLO back home and gives them much needed salary relief for the cost of moving from #36 to #43 in this draft. Brooklyn also signs Benedict Mathurin to a 3/51 contract (who for some reason isn't on the LAC roster and can't be shown)
Trade 3 BK & HOU
Sign and trade for Tari Eason (3/54) for Zaire who makes almost nothing, is just what Ime wants in a player and can be waived for free by Houston to give them cap flexibility. Houston doesn't want to lose Tari for nothing but cannot afford to re-sign him
Brooklyn also adds 7M to MPJ's 26/27 salary, making it 49M, then extends him for 3/95. Making it a 4/144 extension that sharply declines after year 1.
Brooklyn drafts Mikel Brown Jr or Acuff at #6
Brooklyn's roster for 26/27 season
PG: #6/Traore/Saraf
SG: Demin/Mathurin/Mann
SF: MPJ/Eason/Powell
PF: Zion/Wolf/Minott
C: Sharpe/Missi/Lopez
I really like this roster's potential. If Zion gets serious, the rookies make some progress and pick 6 hits this could be a very dangerous team. The roster is extremely flexible giving Jordi all sorts of options and the contracts going forward allow for all sorts of trades with 15M/17M/18M/33M/40M (APPROX) matching salary will not be an issue if a superstar becomes available. Brooklyn only uses 1 future draft asset here (NYK 27) and retains the bulk of their warchest.
