Just one possibility for BK to consider this off-season.
Trade Clax & Clowney + some draft capital in years that Minn is shallow for Randle & Beringer. Beringer being the prize here, I think he can develop into a good starting C in this league. Slightly overpay for Peyton Watson so BK is ensured to acquire his services and who knows? might be a steal. Draft Acuff/MBJ @6.
PG: Acuff, Traore, Saraf
SG: Watson, Demin, Mann
SF: MPJ, Williams, Powell
PF: Randle, Minott,
C: Sharpe, Beringer, Wolf
I think this could be a fun team to root for next season, with little pressure since they aren't expected to win and aren't going to tank because Houston owns their swap rights in 2027. The flexibility and versatility of different lineups would be the team's strength and something Jordi could exploit. This would allow the younger players to develop some winning habits and see what it takes to be competitive
Randle's contract would only be for 2 more years and with MPJ on a reasonable extension the top 3 players would make around 100M combined with the other 12 players only making around 50M combined, so the money is not an issue.
would like to hear thoughts or concerns, why you hate it, why you love it etc.
