To be clear I've never followed the Cavs closely, but there was an expectation that Garland could be close to Mitchell's equal, and together might be the league's best backcourt. Needless to say that hasn't happened, despite Mitchell's crazy stats every year. So I think the Cavs would give up a lot to upgrade from Garland to MPJ. The Mann for Hunter swap and Wade for Wilson are secondary, maybe slightly more favorable for the second apron Cavs, and the reason for the pick swap.
