So before I start just to let you know, this is a rant about how the Denver nuggets couldn't stop fouling, how ANT is now the owner of the Denver nuggets, and how Rudy Gobert made a 3 time MVP look like he was Shaq on the Celtics.
So first off, what were these fouls. I mean 54 in a playoff game should be a crime, people say when the playoffs roll around these calls that you see wont be called as much. I beg to differ. every 45 seconds it felt like the game had to stop because Cam Johnson or Rudy Gobert or Jaden McDaniels commited some foul. I mean even when SGA is on the court I don't see fouls being called this much. Yet even with all these fouls, the worst part were the no calls. It felt like the refs would call a foul where a guy is simply still putting his hands up and the next play a man would slap a guy in the face and it was play on.
And the word ANT should never be used in the state of Colorado ever again. This man went for 30 points which sounds like not much, I mean jamel Murray went for the same amount as him. But when I tell you that ever time the nuggets would get momentum ANT would be smirking his face and would drain a three than make a layup highlight, I am not kidding. This man was blocking shots getting rebounds and going down the court to shoot a three of hit a highlight cross over it felt like ever 20 seconds.
And finally the man who is supposed to be the MVP, the best player in the world, a man who is known for shitting on the best defensive centers in the world, couldn't grab a single offensive rebound against and balding french man. I mean when Jokic played Wemby it felt like we had a chance for a rebound, yet with Rudy Gobert that hope was out the window. Now, this is not Rudy Gobert glaze, I mean the only points this guy scored was a poster of Jokic and not even 1 min later Jokic posterd him right back but the defense was insane. Every time Jokic had the ball and Rudy Gobert was guarding him, he went 1-8. 1-8 from the mvp candidate in a importent game to take a 2-0 series lead on a team you know can upset you.
Now with all these factors I would say the worst part of this game was not the players, not the fans, and hell the refs were at least trying. No... It was the Middle School PE teacher we have as a coach. David Adelman with his combination of wait for Vegas to accept his phone calls for a challenge, to the inability to think "Hey maybe Jokic on Gobert is not the match up we want right now". No this man was screaming at the refs for a phantom call while the game plan was, "Let Jokic have the ball and hope he can save my job". I mean why did we ever get rid of Michael Malone. This man brought us to the finals and a Finals Championship in the most lopsided playoffs I've seen since the 2018 Golden State Warriors and we follow that up by hiring my Elementary school math teacher to coach a basketball game.
If you have read all this and made it to the end, I would assume you also went to the game or at least stayed up until 12am watching the game. And if that's you, I'm sorry. Yet all we can do is look forward to the next game, And hope Anthony Edwards will put it in slow because you know he's dropping 40 on our heads with people like Christian Braun guarding him. I mean like 125 million for 5 years of trash defense and sub par offense. What were we thinking, do you know how much depth and shooting we could have gotten for the money. I don't get having him play any defense, he looks like a light post out there.
When he guards Ant: Free layup/ 30 points When he guards DiVincenzo: Free 3 points and a +20 net ratting When he guards Julis Randle (this actually was the game plan for a hot min): I have not seen a man get this bullied since Shaq and Kobe When he Guards Jaden McDdaniels?: Well... Jaden is a bum so he was held to 14 points and 0- 3 from 3 so that's not that much.
But overall thanks for listening to my rant, and if the nuggets lose game 3, I'm going to Christian Brauns house and squaring up.
