Let’s talk about Denver for a second.

I honestly think Denver needs to seriously consider changing the way they’re building around Jokic.

If I’m their GM, I’d be willing to trade basically everyone outside of Jokic — Murray, Gordon, Cam Johnson, even Murphy — if the right offers are there.

Not because these guys are bad, but because I’d rather turn those contracts into picks + good role players on cheaper deals.

Look at what Boston did. They moved Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, got back more flexibility, and they still managed to remain competitive. You don’t necessarily need another superstar next to Jokic — you need a deep roster that can defend, shoot and actually give you options.

Denver is already in the 2nd apron, and they’ve been there for years without making it past the 2nd round.

So if you’re going to lose early anyway, I’d rather reset the salary structure, collect some picks and build a deeper team around Jokic.

You obviously don’t trade Jokic. 😭
