I believe this trade would be perfect for both teams maybe even more for the Celtics, the Celtics can acquire Watson through a sign and trade, giving Denver less stress about trying to renew him.

For Denver, the logic is simple: the Jokic-Murray era was legendary, but the 2026 playoffs proved they need more rim pressure and defensive grit. By bringing in Jaylen Brown, the Nuggets create a terrifyingly physical core. Brown’s ability to hunt his own shot and suffocate opposing wings gives Jokic a much better who doesn't rely on "rhythm" to be effective. It’s a move that shifts the gravity of the entire league, turning Denver into an improved defensive team that can finally punish teams for doubling the MVP.

On the Boston side, this is a brilliant play for both chemistry and the checkbook. Swapping Brown’s supermax for Jamal Murray’s elite playmaking solves the Celtics' oldest problem: late-game offensive stagnation. Murray provides the veteran floor general Tatum has always needed, unlocking a more fluid, pick-and-roll-heavy offense. Meanwhile, landing Peyton Watson is the ultimate "buy-low" move on a defensive prodigy. He allows the Celtics to maintain their switchable identity at a fraction of the cost, providing the financial breathing room needed to stay competitive under the restrictive Second Apron. It’s a rare win-win that optimizes both teams' windows.

Let me know what y'all think, Denver could also trade AG to potentially get a competent PF and a PG that can handle the ball, and Denver still have #26 pick
