Aaron Gordon is currently injured, but Cleveland would bet he can get back in shape before the playoffs.
Hornets pay for those draft picks to Cleveland because they only attach an expiring contract, without sending any players that Cavs are currently interested in.
Those picks, along with Hunter, are invested in Gordon, who, along with the trade of Cameron Johnson for Tobias Harris and a first-round pick, can put together a package of picks alongside Jamal Murray, Peyton Watson, and Zeke Nnaji that allows Bucks to rebuild at the expense of not having their own draft picks.
EDIT: I thought Charlotte's pick was the most favorable among Utah, Cleveland, and Minnesota, but I see now that wasn't the case lmao. Cleveland's pick stays there, and they're sending Charlotte's other pick to Milwaukee (2027 draft pick, via Dallas instead), sorry for the inconvenience.
