It’s never too early to start talking about the draft. A lot can change between now and then but it’s always good to look ahead.

The Pacers are projected to have a top 5 pick for the 2023 NBA draft. Outside of Wembanyama there’s not really a prospect that is an ideal fit with the Pacers in the top 5. They don’t need Scoot Henderson as they are building around Hal at the point. Nick Smith is a combo guard and they don’t have the biggest need there between Hal, Duarte, and Mathurin. You could make an argument to draft Dariq Whitehead or one of the Thompson brothers but again they have Duarte and Mathurin. Yes the answer is always gonna be to take the best available player. But keeping the young roster pieces in mind, what should the pacers do when draft time comes? If you think they should keep or trade down comment who they would draft
