Indiana could not give 2 shits about losing their draft pick to the Clippers.

The first and main reason why is because Indiana is in win now mode by adding Zubac. A rotation of Haliburton-Nembhard-Nesmith-Siakam-Zubac-Mcconell-Toppin-Walker-Huff-Potter-Brown is already championchip worthy.

The second reason is because guys like Peterson/Dybansta/Wilson/Boozer will be off the board if they lose the pick. There will only be good guard prospects like Kingston Flemmings/Darius Acuff. They made it clear they do not care about these players and only think the projected top 4 could really make a difference for them.

The Pacers currently have a good solid young core as it stands. Jarace Walker is finally showing promise in his increased role, Benn Sheppard is hitting the 3 more consistently, Kam Jones has looked solid in games. This is Kobe Brown’s first year playing a real role in the league and he has shown great promise to be a good role player if they resign him this year
