We could soon be looking at three players who want out of their current situations and a best case scenario trade for each.

The biggest stretch here is the potential of Paul George wanting out from the Clippers if the season once again disappoints and they know they can’t compete. Kawhi’s knees continue to show they can’t hold up for a full season and Westbrook is Westbrook, so PG reaches the conclusion that he wants to be able to compete. He was never in a better situation than his time in Indy and the roster is a star wing player away from being in a potential competitor status. If PG were to request a trade anywhere, Indy could be on his short list for the sake of opportunity and familiarity.

Harden gets his wish to play in LA with his buddy, Westbrook. Winning isn’t a top goal for the beard anymore. He’d rather enjoy life during the last few years of his career. The Clippers can justify this to their fan base as flipping a star for a star.

Buddy Hield wants out so he can play a more prominent role if the Pacers decide to start Mathurin and Brown over him. As a 40% 3-point shooter, it’s criminal to have Buddy on the bench in this age of NBA basketball. With a shift to the 76ers, both he and Brown can be starters next to Embiid and Harris. Embiid would be happy to welcome teammates who want to actually be part of a team and fit well with him.
