Herb Jones adds a wing replacement for Mathurin. Instead of going for scoring wing depth, they add length/elite defensive ability/ and the ability to knock down shots consistently. With Haliburton by his side, he can be a much better offensive player and shooter than he is in New Orleans right now. If they end up wanting a Mathurin replacement along with this, they can trade up to select Cameron Carr. Furphy is thrown in to sweeten the deal as he is recovering from an ACL tear and will likely not get a role anytime soon in Indy.

For New Orleans, they should try to sell high on Herb Jones, even if he is having a down year. Plenty of teams would still be intrested. Walker is a great potential player and Furphy is a sweetner
