The Pelicans are in a tough off season spot. They have 3 things they need to address.

1) Brandon Ingram's Contract. 2) NOLA needs a new center. 3) Point Zion is ok, but they need a real PG.

This trade solves both. Brandon is due an extension this upcoming year and although many could argue that his role on the team has been a crucial one, there has been a bit of a question mark on whether he and Zion can really share the paint as well as they'd hoped. even if they could, is it worth the money you know he will demand next year? Might be better off sending him to a contender for a sizeable return. Secondly, the Pels are in desperate need of a big man who can space the floor. KAT is exactly the type of player the pels are hoping to land to space the floor for Zion all the while provide length and size on the defensive end now that they will let go of Jonas. Lastly, the addition of Tyus is the cherry on-top. Tyus would work as a fantastic facilitating PG who can both be a starter, and a solid option to run the second unit if need be.

Pels starting line-up

PG- Tyus Jones SG- CJ McCollum SF- Herb Jones PF- Zion Williamson C- Karl Anthony Towns
