Assuming Nerlens is healthy at the deadline, this could help the Pelicans rim defense and defensive rebounding. He doesn’t necessarily space the court, but he has better defensive versatility that Jonas and better rim protection skills than Nance.

Maybe this deal could be done for two 2nds, but a first for a guy that isn’t in the Pistons future plans should be enticing. They can also choose to resign Jaxson if they think he can contribute in the future….he would at least be able to get some playing time.
