Detroit theoretically could land BOTH MPJ and Herbert Jones at the deadline for just the contracts of LeVert, Ivey, and Holland.

Pelicans need to hit the reset and land young talent. They move on from Herbert Jones and Troy Weaver gets Ivey back on his roster. This is similar to the Alex Caruso for Giddey type of trade.

The Nets are in no man’s land and could really use some more young talent and to get rid of MPJ to keep tanking and open up some money for next offseason.

Detroit would significantly improve its rotation and become a true contender. MPJ slides in for Duncan Robinson and becomes the #2 scorer while Herbert Jones is an upgrade from Ron Holland in the rotation. Detroit needs to open a roster spot so they can sign Dannis Jenkins to a true NBA contract so he can be their backup PG in the playoffs. This team could match up with OKC for a very fun finals showdown.
