At a glance this may seem like a massive overpay but I compare this deal with the likes of the Pascal or Mikel Bridges trade it’s just the reality that this is the price for this echelon of player but I think for both teams this makes sense.

For the pistons this would push them into a solid position to fight the Cavs or the Knick’s for a Eastern Conference final spot and with a few move moves and development from a Duran and Thompson in the next few years could turn into a real contender with this core. I’m personally not a Ivey guy especially not next to Cade and I think Markkanen link up would be deadly. So a quick line up for this season would be

Cade Le Vert Thompson Markkanen Duran

I’ll be honest I don’t keep up with the jazz but life seems tough and no matter what they’re tanking so taking the picks and an expiring Harris and getting off the big Markkanen contract just makes sense. To me Ivey could turn into something cool especially next to a AJ, Peaterson, Boozer (side note, as a pistons guy who’s seen it happen to us hope you guys get top 3 at least and stop dropping in these drafts)

The price of the picks is probably off I’m not to aware of exactly how valuable these picks would realistically be and it’s probably biased towards the pistons but hey. Thanks for reading
