Look, idk how Pacers fans will exactly feel about this but just hear me out. See, IK Nembhard is a bucket getter, especially after watching the ECF last year when he stepped up after Haliburton went down, which is y I wouldn’t blame Pacer fans for being skeptical about this deal. However, Haliburton is back to being the man on this team, and Siakam is back to all star form, so Pacers really don’t have much of a need for Nembhard’s scoring. Also, after looking at your roster, the Pacers really don’t have any slasher/downhill guys other than maybe Mathurin and Nesmith a little bit. Ivey fills that role perfectly at the 2-guard spot, plus he was averaging about 18ppg prior to his injury. Although I really like Ivey as a Pistons fan (plus I’ve been watching him since his Purdue days since my mom went to Purdue), he doesn’t really fit all that well in the lineup with guys like Duran and Ausar who can’t really shoot either. That’s y he’d fit right into the Pacers lineup since Myles Turner is a shooter. On the Pistons side of things, I’ve already explained y I don’t mind sending Ivey back to Indy, but back again to what I was saying earlier, the Pistons could really use Nembhard as a right hand man for Cade. This teams biggest weakness imo is the lack of a second option for scoring, and I think he’d thrive if Pistons gave him the green light. All in all, I just think this deal would benefit both teams, which y it’s a straight up player swap.
