Mavericks land a 1st and a 2nd for AD plus a pair of expiring contracts. They also get a good look at Jaden Ivey as he heads into RFA. I could see him fitting very with Flagg, Nembhard, and Kyrie as the primary initiators and he serves as the down hill and 3-point specialist off guard.
Wizards land Trae Young for pennies on the dollar and don’t even have to spend a 1st.
The Hawks get out from Trae Young and Porzingis’ contracts. They land AD and bring Caris back to help lead the 2nd unit.
Pistons make a very low-risk, high-reward trade. They have a logjam at guard and with how Jenkins and Sasser have been outplaying LeVert and Ivey (plus with both of them being a LOT cheaper options), they consolidate two guards and use their TPE to bring in sharp shooting wing Corey Kispert while taking a flier on Porzingis. If Porzingis can stay healthy, a big IF, he becomes the best player in this trade and would be a massive upgrade over Tobias at the PF spot. Pistons could use him sparingly until he feels healthy and they don’t need him to play every night anyways with their depth. If Porzingis is a bust, again, then he’s off the books in a year (same as Ivey and LeVert).
