Hello!
I'm a Pistons fan, so let me know if this is crazy, Lakers fans!
For Detroit, they get a 3/4 in Hachimura that can be a nice role player who fits the timeline and helps with floor spacing. They also get a veteran backup PG that the roster currently completely lacks. Add in a 1st round pick to stock up on future assets, and I think this makes sense for Detroit.
For LA, they add a floor spacing, young center to back up AD. He's a tough competitor and could become a fan favorite with his hard-nosed style of play. They also shed $13 mil in salary for this season and open up a roster spot, adding more flexibility for future moves/signings.
