Giannis off-season trade <> Pelicans sell off team

FAILED

The Bucks wait until the offseason and pick up SIX 1sts for Giannis while also taking a chance on Zion and adding a pair of you G talents in Jovic and Sasser. They also get off Kuzma’s contract.

Miami goes all in for Giannis. In a perfect world they could resign Norman Powell too and create a monster starting 5. They also land Missi as a backup Center and Herbert Jones to bolster their bench defense.

Pelicans trade away all their solid pieces to try and get younger prospects and create a new look. They could roll out a starting 5 of Fears, Herro, Holland, Queen, and Ware. They would still have Murray, Poole, Bey, Kuzma, and Looney off the bench.

Pistons make their all in move and land a true #2 option next to Cade with Trey Murphy. While his defense isn’t as good as Holland, he more than makes up for it with his shooting/scoring ability. PLUS, he might be on the most team friendly contract and would allow Detroit to extend Duren and Ausar without worry and add solid vets around the margins (i.e. resigning Tobias, bringing in Portis on a TPE, and extending Javonte Green). Detroit maintains its defensive identity, adds two solid shooters to the rotation, AND is able to keep its depth a core strength. We could see a rotation like:

Cade, Ausar, Murphy, Tobias, Duren

Jenkins, Robinson, Green, Portis, Stewart

Reed, Rookie, Lanier, Klintman, FA

If they could draft a PF like Karim Lopez or Joshua Jefferson, they would be set for the next 4 years.
