If Giannis is traded in the offseason, could Minnesota try to make an all in move for him? They would be trading Randle, Reid, and DiVencenzo for Giannis while adding Portis through the TPE. They use all the picks they can and even end up sending the 2026 draft pick they take (Detroits pick from the swap) and their 2033 draft pick.
Bucks land a new solid PF in Julius Randle, take a big swing on Ron Holland’s upside, and get a chest of draft picks- three 1sts (2026 draft pick from Minnesota, 2029 1st from DET, 2033 from MIN), three pick swaps, and SIX 2nds. They could look to trade Randle and Myles Turner (with some 2nds) to pick up more 1sts, but this would set up Milwaukee well for the near and long term. A young core starting with Rollins, Green, and Holland is something you can start to build around.
Pistons give up on Ron Holland and land two solid shooters who can also give solid value on the defensive side of the ball. Naz Reid slides into the starting 5 over Tobias, while DiVencenzo eats up LeVert’s minutes off the bench and is the Duncan Robinson replacement on the 2nd unit (and would likely close games over him too due to defense). Detroit resigns Tobias and Javonte Green and they end up with a much improved rotation with significantly more shooting.
