Y both teams accept the deal
Denver: MPJ’s value is basically at an all time low, and some changes need to be made in Denver. He lost a lot of PT to Christian Braun, plus he was never in the game when it came down to crunch in these playoffs. What I’m getting at is, MPJ’s services r pretty much no longer needed in Denver, but he is a talented player. Therefore, they get a solid, savvy veteran leader in Tobias to replace him at the 4, and since Westbrook just turned down his player option, we give u Schroder, a very good backup PG in a sign and trade.
Pistons: Unlike Denver, Detroit could really use MPJ’s ability as a big to stretch the floor. The Pistons lose 2 key pieces in this deal but it’ll b worth it by getting Ivey back and healthy, and hopefully resigning threasley and THJ.
