Pistons solve their scoring problems, Milwaukee leans into youth, Denver ducks the 2nd apron

If these negotiations with Duren are truly turning “nasty” then a sign and trade would be the best outcome. Milwaukee could be the perfect trade partner with their massive TPE, an expiring Tyler Herro who doesn’t fit their timeline as well, and a backup Center in Myles Turner who would start for Detroit. Tyler Herro solves their scoring problems #2 scorer problem while Myles Turner might be the exact archetype that this team (Cade and Ausar) needs to truly thrive.

Turner’s strengths (stretching the floor and protecting the rim) are maximized while his weaknesses (post game, lob threat, and rebounding) are minimized with John Collins and Ausar. This might be perfect for all parties involved.

Milwaukee adds a 22 year old All NBA center and two expiring contracts to make their extension decisions next offseason. A new young core of Rollins, Burries, Jaquez, Ware, Duren, Ament, Jakucionis is REALLY dangerous. They also are surrounded by vets for this year (Cam Johnson, Duncan Robinson, Kuzma, GTJ) that can show them how to function properly. This team could be a true contender in 2 years.

Denver ducks the 2nd apron while adding some solid depth pieces in Holland (to replace Watson’s defense, and AJ Green to replace Johnson’s shooting).
