This organization likely isn’t upset about their chances of adding Victor Wembanyama to their core. Imagine if they did so, and added Ingram as well. Ingram has suffered a lot of injuries this year. Alarm bells should be going off in this front office’s head. Williamson is highly prone to injury – if Ingram is too, the team is in trouble. This deal has the Pelicans getting ahead of that problem. It also has them getting tremendous value in the process. Bogdanovic and Burks may make them a better team next season. Even if they don’t, the Pelicans add three first-round picks to what’s already one of the league’s most impressive stashes here.
