Pistons need a better defensive forward and a future at the PF beyond Tobias. This gives them the inside track at landing Eason where they can offer a massive extension. Eason sliding in the starting lineup pushing Tobias to the bench gives Detroit a much more balanced roster for a deep playoff push.

The Rockets won’t be able to resign Eason in the offseason so they add a spark plug scoring punch off the bench in Sasser and land a future 1st and 2nd. Sasser would be great next to Amen and the defensive minded rockets.
