Major FA signs:

Claxton - defensive big, lob threat to pair with Cade. The bad on it: too much money for an just ok starting center. Toppin - athletic stretch PF, can play small C, lob threat to pair with Cade. The bad on it: not a good defensive player. Cam Payne - veteran PG, can play with Cade and Ivey. Nothing bad to say about him as a backup PG, I suppose.

The trade:

Duren for Vince Williams Jr.: the Grizzlies need a C. I assume that with JJJ's defense Duren's problems wouldn't be so alarming. They already have Morant, Smart and Bane in their backcourt, maybe also Kennard (Grizz has a TO). Maybe VWJ is tradeable(?). Maybe the Grizzlies even got us something more in return(?).

We got a young 3&D SG to start with Cade.

The rotation:

Cade/Payne VWJ/Ivey Fontecchio/Grimes Toppin/Ausar Claxton/Stew

At least two good defensive players in the starting line-up (a point of attack defender and a rim protector). Three capable shooters and two lob threats to Cade. Pretty much only Cade handling the ball, but Ivey or Payne can come from the bench and help him when necessary. Three good defenders in the bench. Ausar surrounded by shooters.

We would still have Sasser and the #5 pick (I like Cody Williams).
