I don't think people are factoring in how much harder it is going to be to put together a competitive roster under the new CBA, especially when so many teams have supermax players on their roster.
Boston is a great example because giving Brown a supermax when Tatum already has one means half their roster will need to be minimum contract guys or two-ways.
So having an ALL NBA calibre player like Siakam making less than a supermax is going to be a HUGE asset, and allows you to build a solid core of players making somewhere between 15-35 million instead of just 1 or 2 players at +50-60 million.
ask for precise citations. trying to keep some privacy for people. but sure ask for citations.
