The rumoured Siakam trade to Golden State makes no sense, but I could see an FVV trade making a lot of sense for both sides.
FVV is one of the best defensive guards in the league. He finished first in deflections each of the last two years, while also finishing 3rd and 4th in steals, respectfully. He also routinely guards larger players with no issue. On offence, he is excellent both on and off the ball, shoots the deep three well and is a high IQ player who should fit in the Warriors system. This makes him an awesome backcourt partner for Curry, while also providing someone who can competently run the offence when Curry sits. Klay shifts up to the three, which is probably for the best. He has the size to play the three, and his injury may sap some of his lateral quickness, so it might be better to be guarding wings, as opposed to quicker guards. The salary matching is also much easier on Fred's deal, so the Warriors can make the deal without having to give up Wiggins.
This leaves the Warriors with a lineup of Steph-FVV-Klay-Wiggins-Draymond, with JTA, Paschall, Poole and Looney on the bench.
For the Raptors, they are presumably getting Suggs in the draft, who steps in as the team's point guard of the future. The team also has Malachi Flynn, who looked really good in his rookie season, and Gary Trent Jr, who ideally fits at the 2-guard spot. On top of that, the Raps have a free agency decision to make with Lowry. In this scenario, the Raptors trade from a position of strength to get Wiseman and a pick. The Raptors, then, re-sign Lowry to be the starting PG this year, and to mentor Suggs. Then, they re-sign Khem Birch to be the starting center, with the plan of Wiseman starting at backup, and moving into the starting role when he's ready.
This leaves the Raptors with a lineup of Lowry-Suggs-OG-Siakam-Birch, with GTJ, Flynn, Boucher, Wiseman and Moses Moody (who they take at #7) on the bench.
As for the Knicks, they have been rumoured to be a suitor for Kelly Oubre. The Raptors send a second round pick to make it worth the Knicks' while to facilitate.
