Why each team does this?

Toronto Raptors: The Raptors are heading towards the direction of a re-tool or rebuild around Scottie Barnes. Pascal Siakam is on an expiring contract and there are rumors of a trade to Golden State. In this trade, Toronto will be receiving Jonathan Kuminga and Kyle Lowry along with 2 FRP from The Warriors. Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in Steve Kerr so it makes sense to trade him in a package for a star. With this trade, the Raptors get a good young player with 2 FRP which can be traded should they decide to trade for a star. This also gives long-time Raptor, Kyle Lowry a chance to retire as a Raptor.

Miami Heat: The Heat's struggle for a true PG has been a disaster. In 2021, Miami signed and traded for Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors and that was a disaster. This trade gets them off the Lowry contract and gives them a true PG, Chris Paul. Although CP3 is 38, he can still facilitate the ball very well which is what Miami is lacking. His role will only be to find the open man and get it to them. This can make Miami a contender and maybe help them win it all.

Golden State Warriors: The Warriors have not been the same since winning the 2022 NBA Championship and Steph Curry isn't getting any younger. Draymond Green has been getting suspended and Klay Thompson hasn't been the same since his Achilles tear in the 2019 Finals. Pascal Siakam can be the player the Warriors need. The pairing between Siakam and Curry will be elite and scary. Although Siakam is on an expiring contract, I believe the Warriors need to make a swing at a title. Siakam may resign with the Warriors in the offseason anyway so that's always a possibility. You trade CP3 and Kuminga who's lost faith in Steve Kerr and 2 FRP to make a final push for another championship.
