Raptors: There have been numerous reports suggesting Siakam is on the trade block. However, it also seems like the Raptors are trying to do a soft retool around Scottie Barnes rather than a full on rebuild. In this deal the Raptors essentially swap Siakam who is on the last year of his deal for Lavine who is locked into a long term contract and fits much better with Scottie and OG. This team can still compete, and will finally get a dynamic scorer they’ve been missing since Kawhi. The new dynamic could possibly push this roster to new heights.

Hawks: It is no secret that the Hawks have been trying to obtain Siakam for the past few weeks. I think the reason why the deal is yet to be made is because the Hawks primary asset, Deandre Hunter, is not someone of the Raptors interest because they already have wings such as OG and Scottie. Instead the Hawks bring in Chicago as a third team to facilitate this trade and bring in Siakam. I think this is a very solid move for the Hawks. Their clear the log jam at the wing position and now with Siakam they will have a legit big 3.

Bulls: There were reports that suggested Zach Lavine could be on the move. This deal only really goes through if the Bulls want to hit the reset button. Personally, I believe the Bulls should hit that reset. They have an aging core that hasn’t found any major playoff success, and their roster really doesn’t have a great young core to look forward to. With this trade they get two good young players + additional picks.
