Chicago: The 2026 draft is set to be one of the best drafts in a while. They need to tank to get AJ Dybansta, Cameron Boozer or Nate Ament (they already signed Giddey to an extension, getting Peterson does not make sense to me), and build for the future. To me, I don't understand what their plans to do after if they make it to the play-in, to me, they will still be stuck in limbo. You will have your pick this year and the Raptors' pick next year plus seconds so you have decent draft capital to build around.

Raptors: They get rid of the Quickley and Poeltl contract by adding a young piece, Grady Dick, their first round pick next year and couple of second rounders. It sucks that you have to take the Patrick Williams contract, but to me that's the price to pay to get rid of those questionable contracts, if you want to get Coby White and Vucevic, a point guard and a center that you need for now.
