Since the Raptors traded OG, the team has been playing better but there still remains some obvious holes.

1) Lack of Rotational Bigs: With Precious now in NYC and Koloko yet to make an appearance this season, we’ve had to rely on the likes of Jontay Porter and Thad Young to cover as the back up 5. Although I like what I see from Jontay, I do think he best serves as a 3rd string stretch big. Getting a guy like Okungwu solves our backup center issues right now, and sets us up with a starting caliber center for down the line.

2) OG replacement: Now I’m not saying Hunter is nearly the player OG is, however, with the departure of OG, there has been more of a defensive toll on Scottie. He’s been guarding the other team’s best player every game and it seems to be wearing him out. Getting another 3-D player only helps relieve pressure off Scottie. It would be a buy low move on Hunter, who if he pans out the way most ppl expected, could be the exact player the Raptors need to surround Scottie with.

Plus, these two players are locked in long term which just gives the team that much more flexibility. Is this a fair deal for both sides?
