Why should LeBron want this: He could come into a really talented team that has a need for a leader of his caliber. He could team up with one of his guys KD, and immediately contend for a championship to end his career and ride off into glory. The Rockets would have a good defense around him and a young core to play heavy minutes.

Why the Lakers do this: Rather than LeBron walking for nothing, you get back a Luka fav, who’s basically on an expiring contract, and a first round pick.

Why the Rockets do this: Other than the fact that it’s LeBron James, he could solve the locker room issues from this past year. He could step in with Fred and be the leader of this team, neutralizing KD’s burner behaviors. They also rework Fred’s deal and sign Tari to a long-term deal.
