Let me start this off by saying that there are worse positions to be in than the one the sixers are in right now. That said, the Philadelphia 76ers are a poverty franchise. We signed an old Paul George to a max contract, Joel Embiid has one of the biggest contracts in the nba, and he plays 10 games a year. When Embiid isn’t on the court, we can’t consistently win games. Tyrese Maxey is one of the very few bright spots on this team, but he can’t carry the team to playoffs. The team has no bigs besides Joel, and there is no cap room to make any big changes to the roster in the foreseeable future. Embiid should have been traded 2 years ago when he still had value. I have been a sixers fan since before I can remember, and I have gutted through the heartbreaking playoff losses and the bad signings and the underwhelming seasons, but I am coming to my wits end. I no longer bear to watch 76ers basketball in the regular season because I know that I will walk away disappointed. Daryl Morey is the worst general manager in the nba, he should have been fired long ago before this went too far downhill. This organization has year by year dug its own grave, and I don’t know how they are going to get out.
