Spurs make the move in a massive 4 team deal

SUCCESS

Spurs - Gotta make another move to topple OKC its obvious when you watch. They need spacing and secondary rim protection so teams pulling Wemby doesnt compromise the rim. Spurs already run a 3 Guard system at times with 2 big guards in Castle & Vassel with Fox. This allows a combo F with big size to help claim any boards Wemby doesnt and frees him up on offense a bit more with spacing. This move costs them a pick and some expirings but the time to strike is now. Giannis wont move so the next move is Lauri. His contract also would mean they could move on from Lauri in two years with Fox & reclaim those picks as would Fox's to set up runs in a few years. Even if they must give up another protected pick, this is the Howie Roseman level move. With Depth on the bench and a star at C again; the Spurs are back with another dynasty run with this move.

Jazz are in a cycle of continual tanking since Ainge took over. Makes me think ownership wants to move the team and are looking for excuses. Either way, he found Lauri, time to cash in to get more pieces to develop and hope they find "the guy(s)". I thought about PG13 here, makes sense. Essentially he'd be a 2 year deal at a position theyd wanna upgrade at and could flip him in 1.5 years for a good player at the deadline meeting their timeline too. But that would hamper their cap not not that they had stars to sign in FA but still further picks for bad contracts could be hampered for a guy who wouldnt want to be there.

Sixers pay a heavy fee to move off PG13. Outside of Barnes none of the returning players even crack the rotation. But they have a young team that needs to get paid. If they dont get better then expect moving Grimes and then Embiid in the offseason.

Bulls - get off Pat Williams' bad contract (20 mil for that really?!!) and Jazz see him as potential at a lower cap cost. They also spend expirings for PG13. The reasoning here is the same. PG13 fits their timeline. He adds a vet, size, defense and shooting. They are good enough for a play-in, they will go for it. Allows that young phenom at SF to play minutes at SF more rather than PF. Can hide Giddey at the 2 on defense though his effort is much better. It will also allow them to know what they have in some of these young role players. PG13 really doesn't hamper their cap situation and is the piece to be flipped in the off-season for AD who is from Chicago as NK is a FA and hoping either Ayo or Okoro are ready. Low cost, high reward move. Originally wanted Chicago to tank because they have their own pick their year but a set up for playoff runs with AD, Giddey and BUZELIS makes sense too.
