This is a trade I worked on from the Sixers perspective. With Embiid's knee looking like something that will hamper him for the rest of his career, Sixers will need more money to sure up the rest of the team. Pual George is a luxury they cannot afford. Sixers sell their recently acquired star for a treasure trove of rotational players.

A major factor considered in this trade was cutting enough of the Sixers 2025-26 salary to get Yabusele the full MLE in the offseason. Another factor is building up the Sixers front court with the assumption Embiid will miss a considerable amount of time. (they have 7 options at center now)
