The Lakers would also be getting the PHX 2031 1st to get back a premium high-trade asset likely to become a top 5 pick with the big three gone by then.

For Phoenix, we lose a starting center in the deal but get back depth pieces at other positions of need, and move up in the draft to target a potentially better-quality prospect to add to our core or maybe flip elsewhere. The #17 pick is the centerpiece value in this deal for us.
