It’s probably not going to happen but Jae crowder doesn’t fit the suns timeline and he had a good stretch 2 seasons ago with the grizzlies.

For the suns, they get an energy swing forward with high rebounding and defensive skill at least on the help, since the grizzlies seem to be preferring Tillman. Small bonus, Brandon Clarke actually is from Phoenix. They also take a flyer on tyus in case he becomes a revelation and finds his way into a solid rotation role that can even be upgraded. Failing that, his expiring makes room for ayton and bridges extensions when they do kick in.

For the grizzlies, they get a super hard nosed, deadeye forward to help space the floor for ja and maybe (?) brooks if he’s still with the team. This will allow jjj to roll more often and not get restricted into stretch 5 duties. The grizzlies would also get 2 second rounders which they can hold as future assets in a trade or in case they wish to dump Steven Adam’s contract.
