Your boys are back at it again, the three teams that are forever swapping players and picks.
Why Houston does this:
They upgrade their shooting to another level adding the best shooting forward of all time, and another elite shooter with size in Cam Johnson. This allows them to play a FVV, Amen, Cam, Kd, Sengun lineup that has everything you could want in the playoffs with size, scoring and the ability to defend. Houston gives up the 2027 Phoenix first to get Cam Johnson and the 10th pick and Jabari to get KD. Amen, Tari, Johnson, KD is a hell of a wing rotation.
Why Brooklyn does this:
Jalen Green is a good "buy low" option for them. He is very young and on a potentially favorable contract. Letting him inflate his stats as the #1 option can help BK get some future assets down the road. They also get additional picks in the process, turning Claxton and Johnson into at least 2 FRP with the potential of Flipping Brooks at the deadline to another contender.
Why Phoenix does this:
Phoenix just needs young players on good contracts, and Claxton and Smith but fit needs for the team and the 10th pick is something the Suns are reported to really covet.
