I foresee the Suns having a rather uneventful offseason. Gillespie and Goodwin will be retained on team-friendly deals, and Williams will be allowed to walk unless he can be retained on a bargain deal for less than 3 years, or a sign-and-trade can be negotiated. If Williams is not brought back or traded, the Suns will look to add a veteran backup forward or center with one of their exceptions for cheap, looking to stay under the 1st apron and possibly out of the tax entirely. The Suns will make a selection in the 2nd round, either with their current pick at #47 or by trading up slightly higher using future seconds and/or cash considerations. I personally like Trevon Brazile.
The Suns will keep Green, Allen, and O'Neale going into the season but explore trades before the 2027 deadline. The Suns will extend Dillon Brooks at some point during the offseason or season, somewhere around $25-32mil/yr for 2-3 years. Fleming and Maluach will both see increased minutes next season, with both being starters by the end of next season.
Suns 2026-2027 Opening Night Roster:
Green - Booker - Brooks - O'Neale - Ighodaro
Gillespie - Allen - Dunn - Fleming - Maluach
Bouyea - Goodwin - Highsmith - Brazile - Olynyk
